Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Administer medications accurately and safely according to prescribed schedules and procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Monitor residents for any changes in condition and report observations to nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure resident safety and compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
- Medication Aide certification required.
- Experience in a similar role or healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to provide quality care to seniors.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer residents and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
- Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Work environment includes exposure to bodily fluids, medications, and infectious diseases.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring residents.
