Administrator Safety, 1st Shift – Wilkesboro Plant (Wilkesboro, NC) – Tyson Foods
SummaryThis position is responsible for assisting the Complex Safety Manager with clerical and administrative functions, including data entry from weekly safety inspections, generating work orders related to safety inspections, conducting weekly safety inspections, participating on the Safety and Ergonomic Team, traveling to company-sponsored training workshops, and maintaining training records for incipient fire brigade, HAZMAT, forklift, pallet jack, and dust mask/respirator programs.

- Conducting training sessions.
- Submitting newsletter articles.
- Acting as backup for the medical receptionist and supply room personnel.
- Inspecting safety equipment.
- Maintaining records.
- Distributing safety incentive rewards for the complex.
- Updating the safety manual.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Experience:
One (1) or more years of related experience. - Computer
Skills:
Standard computer skills required. - Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Special Knowledge:
Knowledge of mathematics, grammar, office equipment, and business practices is a plus. - Supervisory: N/A.
