Red Oak Recovery — Foothills (Ellenboro, NC) offers an enriching and experiential program for adult men to improve their lives. Using a holistic approach, we support clients on their path to self-love, self-acceptance, and self-awareness through medical, clinical, and experiential wilderness-based programming.
We are seeking a Clinical Director to provide supervision to our clinical team in all aspects of clinical program management. The Clinical Director is a member of the leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the quality of our clinical team through staffing, training, supervision, and mentoring.
Responsibilities- Provide training to staff in the delivery of services for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide direct support to clinical staff (primary therapist, milieu therapist, direct care staff).
- Supervise staff in cultivating therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and referring professionals.
- Assist with assessing clients and developing individualized treatment goals based on client input, strengths, abilities, and preferences.
- Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to help clients overcome challenges.
- Contribute to modifying and enhancing clinical services.
- Plan and schedule clinical trainings, leveraging the clinical team’s expertise.
- Advocate for the highest standard of comprehensive, ethical clinical care.
- Collaborate with treatment team, operations, and program manager to ensure comprehensive communication across departments.
- Partner with compliance to keep clinical staff current with licenses and certifications.
- Ensure documentation of clinical services is complete and accurate.
- Master’s degree in a human service field.
- LCSW, LCMHC, or LCAS credential.
- At least one year of experience supervising clinical staff.
- Experience supervising daily clinical operations of inpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Dual licensing in addiction and mental health treatment (or willingness to pursue both).
- Experience working with adolescents in an eco‑therapeutic setting.
- Three or more years supervising master level clinicians and bachelor level substance abuse counselors.
- Willingness to pursue full licensure within 75 days of start date.
