American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT registration and BLS certification.
Details- 154-bed hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health services
- Diagnostic Radiology department with Chest Pain Center and Joint Commission Accreditation
- 13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- May include stress lab duties performing exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests
- ARRT registered or registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist
- Active membership in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- AHA BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- 1-2 years of experience required
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with hospital training
- Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices highly desirable
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
- License required if applicable
- For stress lab role: RT(R) and/or NMTCB/RT(N) licensure required
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Prepare preliminary paperwork for cardiologist interpretation when assisting with stress testing
- Recognize chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing and respond appropriately
- Collect and review medical history and medication information to perform prescribed studies
- Assist with computerized charting using MUSE and Paragon systems
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to maintain quality patient outcomes
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
