Job Description

The HR Trainer under the direction of the Destination L & D Manager, assists in the design, development, and delivery of strategic employee learning and development programs including, but not limited to, management and leadership development, onboarding, and career development through various modalities including presentations to large or small groups, e-learning, and interactive sessions, etc. The HR Trainer assists with the coordination of the Talent Management System (TMS) including serving as an expert to support users, maintenance, updates, and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with the effective facilitation of prescribed learning programs, including planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating. Coordinate, liaise and support all approved training requests from other departments and/or visiting trainers. Administer and maintain the e-learning environment. Support and facilitate supervisory, career and leadership development programs. Develop relevant and engaging training content as required. Assesses the effectiveness of training programs using prescribed metrics and feedback mechanisms;
    Identify areas for improvement. Liaise with and support activities with internal and external vendors and sessions for training delivery where applicable.
  • Provide assistance for the coordination of the All Aboard Program (AAP) for new hires, per the prescribed curriculum, and as directed by the COE. This includes facilitating AAP modules, liaising and coordination with HR and department heads, communication, monitoring and diligent program administration. Assists with the monitoring and enabling a high level of engagement and participation throughout the program.
  • Assists with the creation of effective development plans in partnership with the Destination L & D Manager, HR Manager and department heads; assists with and track development plans for high potential team members as directed. Optimize the use of available learning resources for employee development. Provide support for the management of change effectively for all learning programs and initiatives. Support campus fairs, internship programs or academic development efforts as directed by COE.
  • Provide support for the management of site compliance and safety training based on designated curricula. Observe and ensure compliance with company quality standards for programs, training facilities and administration. Diligently monitor and maintain compliance of all regulatory, corporate, and other required programs; this includes but is not limited to running reports, communicating, and scheduling classes as necessary. Ensure thorough record keeping and produce accurate and timely reports.

    Supports the Destination L & D Manager with the management of the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) facility, including maintaining opening hours for employees. Actively assists and complies with all necessary standards of health and safety, security and environmental (HESS) requirements. Prepare for and lead any training related audit; promptly report and correct deficiencies cited during inspection rounds. Diligently control, monitor, and manage the cost efficiency of L&D operations onsite.

    Report progress and follow through on training activities as directed by the COE.
  • Collaborate with the Destination L & D Manager in leading a range of learning initiatives, coordinating their seamless execution, and ensuring measurable impact. Uses project management skills to plan, drive, communicate and implement L&D initiatives. Assists with the management of change of training programs and initiatives effectively; communicates effectively using appropriate tools, modes, and channels.
  • Actively participate in drills, seminars, and training programs, as required, support employee engagement programs and welfare activities. Collaborate with the Destination L & D Manager, HR Manager to support any employee services to team members; support new hire onboarding operations. Collaborate with HR Manager to support applicable train-the-trainer programs.
  • Preserve confidentiality of all employee and company sensitive information.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the Destination L & D Manager or designee.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Educational Leadership, Business or related field.
  • At least four years of related experience required.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
  • Speaking in public and presenting information to large and small groups.
  • Organization, synthesis and analysis of varied and complex information and problems.
  • Talent Management System coordination including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Web-based learning technology design and development including eLearning authoring tools and standards such as Adobe Suite (Captivate, Dreamweaver, Flash, Premier), Articulate Storyline/Studio; proficient in authoring software:
