This position is responsible for coordinating and assisting in the many aspects of Human Resources including, but not limited to, administrative support, coordination of benefits, recruitment, employee activities, and special projects.
Responsibilities- Responsible for recruiting administration; including job postings, resume review, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer letters, new hire packages, and new hire orientation
- Ensure compliance with affirmative action regulations, federal and state laws, and company guidelines regarding matters of employment law
- Participate in educational and community career fairs
- Maintain internal processes such as onboarding, transfers, and terminations
- Provide timely response to management and employee inquiries regarding HR matters
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee information such as job descriptions and People Soft information
- Coordinate and assist with employee-related events, activities, and training
- Maintain benefits portal, track new hire enrollment and life events, and assist with creating benefit communication items, open enrollment, wellness initiatives, and other responsibilities as required
- Process leaves of absence including FML and disability and assists employees as necessary
- Calculate and process payment of benefits for employees on leave of absence
- Support front office activities including reception
- Maintain secured access system
- Monitor HR drop box, respond to general inquiries, and elevate as required
- Monitor break room inventory and product selection to ensure adequate supply levels and maintain quality standards
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and multi-task
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office
- Strong sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain high ethical standard and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues
- Ability to work with limited supervision and take initiative
- Associate degree; bachelor’s degree preferred. Commensurate experience in Human Resources or a related field may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 2 years’ Human Resources experience preferred
- Minimal travel may be required
