We are seeking a driven
Human Resources Intern to join our team. This role provides the opportunity to support key Human Resources initiatives that enhance employee development, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on maintaining HR systems and records, tracking HR metrics, supporting succession planning and employee relations efforts, recruiting and onboarding direct labor talent, and developing organizational communications, including new hire announcements.
What You Will Do:
- Update training records in MQ1
- Utilize HRIS (Success Factors) for data entry and reporting
- Track HR metrics, targets, and goals
- Employee and community relations
- Support in succession planning by creating development plans
- Update and revise job descriptions
- Attract and hire top talent to Bison:
Direct labor recruiting and onboarding - Write organizational announcements for new hires
- Other tasks may include:
- Payroll and/or time and attendance tracking and reporting
- Handling unemployment claims
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures
What We Are Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related field;
Sophomore or Junior preferred - Able to work part-time during school sessions and full-time during breaks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; strong analytical abilities preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral) required
- Demonstrated track record of organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Discretion in handling confidential information, materials and employee records and ability to prepare confidential information related to employer-employee relations
- Ability to perform a variety of professional, technical, and analytical human resources functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing and team-oriented environment
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to proactively find new ways to solve problems and identify resources
- Passionate about taking on new challenges and opportunities with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
- Not afraid to ask questions and recommend solutions
