Datacenter Technician

Onsite 5x/week 2nd shift

Hours:

3pm - 12am EST Mon-Fri

Duration: 18 month contract (possible FTE)

Pay: $40-$44/hour W2

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join the infrastructure operations team at one of our enterprise clients. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience installing network devices and cabling, along with a solid understanding of data‑center environments and infrastructure best practices.

• Min 3+ years experience installing network devices and cabling
• Strong understanding of data center environments
• Proficient in racking and stacking equipment, running fiber and copper cables, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience operating and installing computing equipment including servers, storage, networking gear, and telecom hardware
• Familiarity with infrastructure cabling concepts and standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to assist with shipping, receiving, and distribution of IT hardware and components

• Receive and process equipment deliveries
• Configure server cabinets and related hardware
• Rack, stack, and cable servers, switches, and other data center devices
• Perform cable testing and labeling
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and cabling issues
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of interfaces and installations
