Quality Technician/ Inspector, Quality Control / Manager
Location: New London
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in quality sampling systems and procedures to ensure that all required test samples are obtained and prepared for testing. Prepare samples to the specific required sizes for testing utilizing a miter saw, table saw, drill press, and planer.
- Assist manufacturing in monitoring and assuring product quality.
- Routinely test product characteristics, in process and post-production. Graph, analyze, record, and report meaningful information from these tests.
- Promptly report results of audits/tests/analyses to the appropriate individual; advising whether or not the results are acceptable.
- Advise production and quality management of observed trends in quality parameters.
- Support maintaining and updating test records, including data entry of test results into the required databases.
- Participate in the evaluation and initiation of actions to improve quality performance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled.
- Basic metrology skills with test equipment.
- Reasonable computer skills, especially Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Reasonable interpersonal skills.
- Able to work as a team member with a diverse workforce.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass the Quality Skills test.
- Ability to read and write.
- Experience using computers and Excel.
- Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
- ASQ CQT certification preferred.
