Position SummaryThis assembly technician position requires working with small hand tools, fixtures, and arbor presses to assemble precision electronic/electro‑mechanical components and sub‑assemblies. The role involves following operation sheets, blueprints, and written instructions to ensure proper assembly, labeling, and serializing of units.
Essential Functions- Work with small hand tools, fixtures, and arbor presses
- Assemble various precision electronic/electro‑mechanical components, sub‑systems, and systems
- Follow operation sheets, blueprints, and oral/written instructions to insure proper assembly of parts
- Attend solder certification and recertification classes
- Mark units as prescribed and maintain serialization
- Repair own work as necessary
- Use precision gauges and test equipment to determine mechanical and electrical characteristics
- Work using 3× and 10× magnification
- Mix epoxy cements and cleaning solutions, using precision scales
- Occasional light to moderate lifting (10–20 pounds)
- Manual dexterity required for working with small parts/components
- Ability to solder close‑tolerance connections; solder experience or certification desired
- Pass annual eye exam (20/20 vision with corrective lenses)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Assembly/Manufacturing/Electrician experience required; manual mechanical or electronic assembly strongly preferred or experience as a machine operator
- Experience with wiring, building, and testing electronic sub‑assemblies strongly preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
