Chick Delivery Helper; Piece Rate

Job Description

Assist in delivery of chicks to Broiler Farms. Help Chick Delivery Drivers with loading pallets onto Smithway trailers. Other responsibilities include washing and disinfecting chick delivery equipment upon return, ensuring all safety and health protocols are being followed.

• Transport chicks from hatchery to contract poultry farms with CDL driver via Smithway delivery units and place in poultry houses.
• Help CDL driver load pallets of chicks onto unit and unload empty pallets upon return to hatchery.
• Washing and disinfecting chick delivery equipment each day.
• Perform pre and post trip inspection of Moffet loader and Smithway unit (clean air filters each day).
• Follow all company and federal safety policies as well as support Goal Zero mission statement.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in related field.
• Capable of delicate transfer.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
