Job Overview
TE Connectivity is looking for a Materials Planning Analyst II to satisfy customer requirements and service metrics through coordination of demand management, manufacturing resource management, and the master production plan that includes semi‑finished goods and finished goods inventory targets.
Job Requirements- Review customer requirements, participate in new product introductions, inventory management, negotiate final activities of potential products and material flow by GPL.
- Follows and establishes practices that guarantee the correct administration of MPS, MRP, CAP parameters for planning, proper use of the system and compliance. Follow practices and tasks that guarantee the achievement of service metrics.
- Manages plant manufacturing requirements according to the inventory policy and plant capacities.
- Responsible for managing the expected inventory levels of finished products and sub‑assemblies in the distribution center and plant by division.
- Manages manufacturing resources based on analysis of demand, forecast, and manufacturing trends to provide management information to support decision‑making process.
- Manage planning practices and communication tools and guarantees compliance according to the requirements of the quality system.
- Release production orders according to customer’s needs.
- Perform sales & past‑due projections every month.
- Direct contact with customers to establish agreements and coordinate delivery times.
- Comply with internal key performance indicators: OTD, inventory turns, sales, past‑due.
- 2+ years experience in a supply chain as planner or scheduler.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or proven equivalent required.
- Strong understanding of Material Resource Planning systems.
- Exceptional analytical and planning skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to multitask.
- Detail and results‑driven.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively by written and verbal methods with global partners.
- Self‑motivated with high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
- Welcomes change and challenging responsibilities.
- SAP Production Planning experience preferred.
- APICS certification preferred.
