The Production Associate 2 employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we safely make a quality product and minimize waste/cost, so it can be delivered on time to customers. Also, responsible for working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties.

- Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products.
- Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.

- Minimum word and number recognition/visual cues.
- Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and know when to change PPE.
- Identify hazards while understanding station safety protocols.
- Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
- Follow instruction and standard work while frequently referencing standard work instructions.
- Knowledge of product defects specific to your workstation.
- Quality recognition in station quality requirements/CTQ.
- Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly & accurately, asking questions, sharing important information.
- Time management and awareness of cycle times.
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals).
- Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, and identifying files.
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion.
- Problem solving using root cause analysis.
- Dependability – be on time consistently.
- Profile recognition: ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawings.
- Monitor inventory by adhering to min‑max levels (WIP) and utilizing scrap.
- Record keeping: accurate, timely, legible.
- Wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
- Dependability, punctuality & detail oriented.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand.
- Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day.
- Ability to work in hot & cold environments.
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs.
- Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross‑trained).
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods.
- Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
- Follow supervisors’ instructions/directions as given.
