Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Material Handler
Location: Royal Pines
Material Handler/Kitter (Avery Creek) - WKND
Hourly rate: $21.00 per hour. Core hours: 7am - 7:30pm.
Responsibilities- Ownership of storage racks including daily review of racks, 5S+, rack labels, etc.
- Load and unload steel trucks and/or copper truck as required.
- Move material throughout the fabrication as needed, keeping brakes staged with unbent parts, delivering bent parts to the paint line, and delivering completed fabricated components to rack locations.
- Keep pallet bins full of pallets.
- Assist in breaking out steel from Amada skeletons when necessary.
- Weigh and empty scrap bins and record weight in spreadsheet.
- High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution.
- No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Avery Creek, NC, or be active‑duty military (exempt).
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- 1 year forklift experience within the last 3 years.
- Previous experience as a material handler.
- Previous experience with Kanban.
- Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Proven history of safe work habits.
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel, etc.
- Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
