National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will perform duties in an industrial manufacturing environment, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reading diagrams and manuals. The facility is located at 9609 W Market St, Colfax, NC 27235. This position offers a $2,000 Sign-on Bonus, paid as $1,000 after 3 months and $1,000 after 6 months of employment.

• Installing and assembling new machines and equipment
• Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machine failures
• Installing replacement parts such as vacuum pumps, hydraulic pumps, and hoses
• Using power tools and hand tools to complete maintenance tasks and work orders
• Following safety procedures, SOPs, and LOTO protocols
• Logging maintenance work via paper or CMMS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Cincinnati Milacron machines preferred
• Experience with Theason Extruders preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with electrical and mechanical components
• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to read/write instructions and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related components
• Knowledge of plastics extrusion processing is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs periodically

• Hourly pay rate: $25-$40/hr
