- Starting at $18.25 per hour!
- Principal Duties:
- Perform all tasks safely, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
- Participate in BBS and near-miss reporting.
- Create and maintain a team effort attitude and approach.
- Meet productivity standards.
- Complete required documentation.
- Troubleshoot quality or productivity issues related to the team or machinery.
- Make adjustments to machinery as needed.
- Suggest process or procedure improvements.
- Coordinate with lab personnel, team leaders, and senior process engineers for issues and improvements.
- Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties for a clean and safe work environment.
- Obtain and maintain three certifications.
- Train others as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
This position involves limited supervision with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience: Recent manufacturing experience preferred.
- Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work performed on the plant floor with frequent contact with others. Must have a positive team-oriented attitude and communication skills. Ability to multi-task with little direction, maintaining high attention to detail. Prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching, manual dexterity required. Occasional ascent/descent of up to three flights of stairs over fast-moving machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Safe access to fast-moving machinery, including rolls with inward nip points. - Equipment: Knowledge of and skills in using office machines (computer and copier) and business procedures.
- Work Environment: Tasks performed around production lines, warehouses, silos, and pumping stations.
- Internal and External Contacts: Primary contact with internal customers; some contact with external customers and suppliers. Excellent communication skills essential.
