Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembler (1st Shift)- Avery Creek.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm. This position is eligible for overtime, which can be mandated at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.

The core hours are Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm.

What you'll do:

The primary function of the Assembler, is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub-assemblies, and final assembly of control equipment. Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies. This department requires physical movement throughout the facility as it relates to mechanical assembly, and obtaining materials through kneeling, bending, squatting, and moving up and down ladders throughout the plant.

In this function you will:

* Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.

* Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.

* Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.

* Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.

* May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.

* Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.

* Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.

* Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.

* Maintains records as required.

* Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.

* Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.

* Other assignments as required.

* Operator of power tools, including battery powered and compressed air

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

* Mechanical/Electrical background

Position Criteria:

* Able to lift 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead; with or without accommodations

* Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat, as it relates to moving materials, as well as moving up and down ladders frequently in relation to material handling, with or without accommodations

* Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams

* Proven history of safe work habits

* Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

* Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.

* Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends
