As a Production Operations Manager, you will lead high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence by optimizing production schedules and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities- Execute daily production schedules while ensuring strict adherence to operational and quality benchmarks.
- Utilize SAP and capacity planning models to strategically align staffing and resource allocation.
- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows.
- Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and professional growth.
- Analyze performance metrics across safety, quality, delivery, and cost to drive data-backed decision-making.
- Lead Tiered Gemba processes and conduct regular 6S and safety audits to maintain an injury-free, compliant environment.
- Communicate operational status and project progress through regular reporting and presentations to leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and staff training.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and MS Access for data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage industrial relations effectively.
- Prior leadership experience specifically within the optical fiber cabling industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing non-unionized production teams.
- Strong background in Quality Management Systems and ISO
14001 compliance. - Ability to maintain professional composure and lead effectively during high-stress operational challenges.
