Freedom Boat Club of Wilmington is a service-oriented business that emphasizes a hassle-free membership experience. We are designed for anyone who wants to access a versatile fleet of boats on a regular basis, at an affordable cost of entry. FBC members have unlimited access to the club fleet, but do not own them and never incur any service or storage fees.

Reservations are made through a proprietary online system. A boat club makes its fleet available to its membership and its management handles all aspects of service and maintenance. It's Boating Made Simple!

Join Our Team

Freedom Boat Club of Wilmington is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Seasonal Content Coordinator to support our marketing and member engagement efforts during the peak boating season. This role focuses on capturing the on-the-water experience, managing social media channels, editing engaging content, and producing a monthly member newsletter. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys the coastal or boating lifestyle and who can translate those experiences into compelling digital content.

What

You'll Do On‑Site Content Capture & Coordination

Collect high‑quality photo and video content at marina locations, aboard vessels, and during club events. Collaborate with staff, members, and management to identify, plan, and execute timely content opportunities that authentically reflect daily operations and the member experience.

Content Editing & Creative Production

Edit and produce polished visual and video content for use across digital platforms, including short‑form video (Reels, Stories, etc.). Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand identity and visual style aligned with FBC Wilmington's Core Focus and marketing standards.

Social Media Management & Engagement

Manage, schedule, and publish content across designated social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Linked In). Develop engaging captions and calls‑to‑action, monitor comments and messages, and appropriately elevate member or prospect inquiries to leadership or sales staff.

Monthly Member Newsletter Development

Plan, write, design, and coordinate distribution of a monthly digital newsletter for members. Curate and highlight events, announcements, staff features, and safety information while managing content approvals in collaboration with the Director.

Key Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular site visits to our Carolina Beach and Topsail Island marina locations.
  • Ability to work 15‑20 hours per week.
  • Availability to work some weekends and summer holidays.
  • Experience managing social media for a brand, business, or organization.
  • Strong photo and video editing skills (mobile or desktop tools).
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working on‑site and around boats and water.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with boating, lifestyle, or hospitality content is a plus.
