Location: Harris Regional Hospital, 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit, Harris, NC
Schedule: 3x12s, Night Shift (7p-7a). Temporary 13-Week Assignment.
Position Summary: Joining our 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit, you will provide compassionate care to patients while working with a dedicated team of physicians, advanced practitioners, registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. With a 6:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
How You'll Contribute- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
