Where You Will Work:

At Wilkes Medical Center, our 8 bed ICU provides intensive, specialized care for critically ill patients who need constant monitoring and support for life‑threatening conditions. It is staffed by highly skilled medical professionals and equipped with specialized technology like ventilators, cardiac monitors, and IV lines to support vital functions. Our goal is to not only provide quality, life‑saving care but also support the patients and families during their challenging time.

Our low nurse to patient ratio and out of staffing charge nurse ensures quality care and exceptional customer service.

We’re Looking For:

• One year of med‑surgical nursing preferred.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care.

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
