Days, PRN - As Needed. Our team is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network.
The operating room handles a variety of procedures with six beds and approximately 400 cases per month, including ENT, Cataract and Retinal Eye, Gynecologic, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive, and Gastroenterological surgeries. The majority of cases are general and orthopedic. Surgical operations are conducted Monday through Friday with additional night, weekend, and holiday call rotations to ensure continuous coverage.
Responsibilities- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Performs timely and accurate quality improvement (QI) assessments
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
- One year of experience preferred
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
