-including trauma, mental health concerns, neglect, substance abuse, and family instability- receive the support, assessment, and guidance they need to build a brighter future.
We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position works approximately 10 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule
. The RN serves a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of youth admitted to the Assessment Center while providing medical consultation and support to program staff.
- Conduct physical assessments for youth within 24 hours of admission.
- Provide medical consultation and guidance to Assessment Center staff.
- Respond to youth medical needs, including sick calls, routine assessments, and triage of injuries and illnesses.
- Oversee medication administration practices and record-keeping protocols.
- Collaborate with program leadership to review and improve healthcare procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the Assessment Center and community healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Required:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Associate Degree in Nursing and at least two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort serving youth with complex needs.
- Computer proficiency and experience maintaining professional records.
