Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of step-down/ICU experience and NC or compact RN license.

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Step-down or ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required

• Progressive Care (cardiac step-down) unit on the 4th floor, 22 beds
• Patient population includes adult cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion cases
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses telemetry equipment and Paragon EHR
• PM shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Provide cardiac step-down nursing care including monitoring post cardiac cath patients and performing cardioversions
• Team-oriented environment requiring strong communication skills and flexibility
• Navy scrub color required; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
