Tink Bird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum Family Medicine opportunity at a community-based public health facility in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This outpatient role offers a supportive, team-based environment, a manageable patient volume, and flexible scheduling for local providers seeking a 6-month- 1 year commitment, with the possibility of extension.

Schedule:

3–5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM;
Administrative Time: 30 minutes per day;
Lunch Break: 30 minutes;

All ages, including rural and underserved populations;
Average Patient Volume: 12–13 patients per day, with scheduling capacity for up to 16 patients; EMR System:

• Provide outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages.
• Deliver family medicine services to rural and underserved populations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a team-based pod model.
• Work alongside registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters.
• Practice with physician supervision available.
• Provide care in a supportive public health environment with a manageable patient load.

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active North Carolina license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of Family Medicine or Primary Care experience preferred.
• Prior Medicare and Medicaid enrollment preferred.
• Local candidates only.
