Eastern Shore Animal Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our dedicated staff in North Carolina’s beautiful Outer Banks.

Eastern Shore Animal Hospital is in Grandy, NC, on a peninsula situated between the Currituck Sound and the North River. Minutes from the Outer Banks and its beaches, the town is great for growing families who want an easy commute to the surrounding communities of Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Elizabeth City, and the Tidewater Region of Virginia.
RequirementsEducation and Experience:
- Experience working in a veterinary emergency or critical care setting.
- Strong understanding of veterinary emergency procedures, patient handling, and basic medical terminology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with the veterinary team and pet owners in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Demonstrated care and empathy for canine and feline patients, providing comfort and reassurance to patients in distress.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail to accurately report patient behavior and condition to the veterinary team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Tech National Exam and Registered in North Carolina highly preferred.
- At least 1-year surgery and/or anesthesia related experience.
