About the Role:

Three Little Spats Oyster Company is looking for a hardworking and passionate Oyster Farmhand to join our team in the beautiful coastal community of Beaufort, NC. This is a hands-on, outdoor role perfect for someone who loves the water and wants to be part of a growing aquaculture operation. If you're ready to get your boots wet and learn the craft of oyster farming from the ground up, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily oyster farming operations including seeding, culling, sorting, and harvesting
• Maintain and repair oyster cages, floats, and other aquaculture equipment
• Operate and maintain boats and watercraft used in farm operations
• Monitor oyster growth, health, and water conditions to ensure optimal yield
• Handle and package harvested oysters for distribution and sale
• Perform general farm maintenance and upkeep of docks and shoreline facilities
• Follow all food safety, shellfish harvesting, and water quality regulations

Requirements:

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfort working on and around water; swimming ability strongly preferred
• Prior experience in aquaculture, commercial fishing, or marine agriculture is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment and boat maintenance
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
• Valid driver's license; boating experience or license a bonus
