OverviewAs part of the High Purity Quartz Analytical Lab Team, the Technician Lab will perform analytical procedures on routine and non-routine plant samples submitted to the Analytical Services Laboratories, as well as basic analytical research on project basis as directed by the supervisor.
Responsibilities- Prepare samples, conduct analyses, and report results on samples submitted to the Analytical Services Laboratories.
- Acquire and maintain competence to perform all routine analytical procedures per the Standard Operating Procedures manual.
- Acquire and maintain expertise in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Assist in the validation, revision, and development of analytical procedures.
- Develop expertise in operating ICP spectrometers, laser particle sizer, and other instrumentation.
- Develop the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on instrumentation used in daily laboratory operations.
- Maintain analytical facilities and equipment according to the Laboratory Maintenance Plan.
- Maintain quality control documentation and perform required calibrations on instrumentation as outlined in SOPs.
- Evaluate data for precision, accuracy, and conformity to established quality standards before reporting.
- Meet laboratory sample turnaround goals and other productivity objectives defined by laboratory management.
- Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work environment to minimize contamination.
- Identify and report unsafe practices or unnecessary procedures for corrective action.
- Perform project work for Research and Development as required and maintain competent records for this work.
- Work safely and report safety problems to the supervisor immediately for resolution.
- This role supports 24/7 production facility operation and may require weekends.
Schedule:
Four (4) 10-hour shifts, Friday – Monday 5pm – 3am.
- Safety-focused mindset with the company’s Get to Zero program.
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory setting; laboratory coursework may substitute for experience.
- Self-starter who can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in local language and written and spoken English.

Salary is to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
