As a Quality Technician Level 1, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high quality of our products. You will perform a variety of inspections, tests, and analyses, contributing directly to our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Job Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct quality control inspections of incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Perform testing and calibration of equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and document defects, using data analysis techniques to track trends and patterns.
- Perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of quality issues.
- Develop and implement problem‑solving strategies to prevent defects and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Apply SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods to monitor and improve process capability.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve quality‑related issues.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Entry‑level position; prior experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience with root‑cause analysis techniques.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- May involve working in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to noise and machinery.
