Primary Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Location: Burgaw, NC (Onsite)
Shift/Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Friday OT as needed)

Job Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector performs quality checks across various departments on a variety of products. Responsibilities include conducting interval quality checks and completing paperwork per QP, performing compliance audits, and providing production with technical support for quality issues. The QC Inspector partners with Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure product quality and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct interval quality checks and complete paperwork in accordance with QP
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and gauges
  • Collaborate with Code Agency personnel to ensure conformance to standards and requirements
  • Provide production teams with technical quality support
  • Inspect dimensions and finishes against blueprints or work orders
  • Supervise and/or perform rework on damaged products
  • Support plant compliance with company initiatives
  • Conduct system audits and assist internal teams in successful compliance
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Operate the forklift as needed
  • Cross-train in other departments and perform duties as required by business needs
  • Inspect coil loads: measure thickness, width, test hardness, and verify specs via the system
  • Work flexible hours and overtime with short notice
  • Communicate quality concerns, audit outcomes, and recurring issues in writing and verbally
Physical Demands
  • Must regularly stand and walk
  • Frequent use of hands to handle tools and controls
  • Occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Good natural or corrected vision is required
  • This is a hands-on role requiring teamwork, attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience in Quality Control preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and prints
