Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the feasibility of product and production systems to satisfy customer and contractual requirements through critical reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop analytical methods for establishing product and component reliability, and conduct relative reliability analysis with respect to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, production facilities, and material availability. The team also manages policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements, oversees environmental compliance, manages technical standards and specifications, quality‑control and reliability programs, and leads failure analysis, root‑cause, corrective‑action efforts and customer communication.

4th shift hours:
Friday‑Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Establish inspection methodologies by combining best‑known measurement methods with available test equipment.
  • Use specialized test equipment to qualify and verify product.
  • Understand Good Documentation Practices and complete quality records accurately, legibly, and file them appropriately.
  • Coordinate MRB activities; provide and document disposition recommendations.
  • Evaluate nonconforming material and provide input on condition.
  • Identify opportunities for corrective/preventive action and perform effectiveness checks.
  • Perform final product release activities (Certificate of Compliance).
  • Be familiar with first‑article inspection requirements per AS9102.
  • Perform data entry to support monitoring of quality/performance trends.
  • Review documentation and verify dimensions on received materials.
  • Revise work instructions to include clarifications where needed (e.g., add pictures, re‑word instructions).
  • Use the organization’s ERP system (SAP).
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure quality requirements are cascaded down.
  • Work with vendors to conduct RCCA on any nonconforming product supplied to TE.
  • Assist with GPL knowledge to provide support as necessary.
  • Audit processes for compliance with established policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Aid in the development of and perform First Article Inspection under the direction of Quality/Engineering.
  • Perform in‑house calibrations of gauges and equipment following established instructions.
  • Execute documented validation protocols and provide feedback to Quality/Engineering for inclusion in validation reports.
  • Verify process‑control effectiveness (gauge checks, record maintenance, product segregation).
  • Verify product visually and dimensionally through in‑process inspections.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • General understanding of Statistical Process Control.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements.
  • Proficient with standard dimensional gauges – caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, comparator.
  • Proficient with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Vision Systems, Digital Optical Comparator, and other advanced measurement test equipment.
  • Proficient with problem‑solving tools – RCA, 8‑D report, fishbone diagram, 5‑whys, etc.
  • Effective member of a problem‑solving team.
Additional Qualifications
  • Associates Degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality‑related manufacturing role.
