Purpose / General Description:
Assure production quality by analyzing processes to provide information and recommendations on where to apply improvements to achieve the desired results. Facilitate and actively participate in the improvement efforts. Assist in the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of the quality management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Production and Continuous Improvement by investigating and resolving quality issues that are encountered internally or at the end user. Lead or facilitate cross-functional root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) efforts.

• Develop, monitor, and evaluate quality system metrics. Identify and complete improvement projects in response to metrics results and trends. Develop new processes and/or improve existing processes as appropriate.

• Track and manage nonconforming material found internally or returned from the field and lead Material Review Board (MRB) efforts. Guide other teams regarding specification and selection of appropriate gauges and measurement devices.

• Manage measuring equipment by completing internal verification of select gauges and fixtures as well as coordinating external calibration of gauges as required.

• Complete internal quality system audits as directed. Prepare audit reports and track associated nonconformances to resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering/related technical field of study, or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years experience in a quality engineering role (product manufacturing or assembly preferred).

• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems.

• Excellent problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and analytical skills; CQE and/or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.

• Experience in core quality tools, including SPC, CAPA, APQP and PPAP.

• Quality auditing experience; lead auditor training and/or CQA preferred.

• Good communication, organization, and project management skills.

• Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in MS Access, SharePoint, Power BI, and/or Minitab is a plus.
