Responsible for helping the smooth running of the business by ensuring maintenance of the Integrated Food Safety Management System and the sites Prerequisite programs. Duties will include working with administratively and operationally; this will also include gaining experience in trade visits.
The quality and food safety HOD requires assistance in handling and carrying out day to day departmental duties which includes daily process checks and consolidation of data reporting. Weekly duties such as Mass Balance, completion of site PRP Audits, weekly bread evaluation and data analysis thereof on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for daily housekeeping
- Assist Measuring and Testing Analyst daily duties
- Retention sampling
- Sensory Evaluation
- Updating Foods Connected Product Check (Management of incoming raw materials)
- Promoting a positive food safety and quality culture
- Involvement in Monthly Food Safety meetings
- Completion of monthly quality scorecards
- Management of annual mock recalls
- Maintenance of the EMP programme
- Monthly data analysis of micro results
- Managing customer complaints and non-conformances
- Assist in Management of changes related to Food Safety and Quality
- Maintenance of FSSC 22000 v6 and effective transition of FSSC 22000 v7
- Assist in meeting the sites Food Safety and Quality Objectives
- Bread Quality
