Food & Beverage Manager - The Greystone Inn, Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. The Greystone Inn, a charming getaway nestled in the heart of Lake Toxaway, NC, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to lead our restaurant team. Join us in creating memorable culinary experiences for our guests in an idyllic mountain setting.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management:
    Oversee daily restaurant operations, lead and mentor a diverse team, and cultivate a positive work environment.
  • Customer

    Experience:

    Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service standards and addressing customer feedback promptly.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Manage scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficiency and cost control while maintaining quality.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Develop and implement innovative service initiatives and menus in collaboration with the culinary team, aligned with the brand vision.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards, along with all regulatory requirements.
  • Wine & Beverage Management:
    Order wines, maintain wine stock, and oversee beverage program development and supplier relationships.
  • Internal & External Service:
    Preserve excellent levels of customer service and proactively respond to guest needs and concerns.
Qualifications
  • A strong background in wine and expertise in wine menu development
  • Proficiency in cocktail development and bar management
  • Experience sourcing high-quality beverages, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating prices
  • Ability to train and mentor staff in beverage knowledge, service techniques, and compliance
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and enhancing personal beverage knowledge
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and delegate multiple tasks
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with food & beverage trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
