Core Responsibilities- Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting and assisting them courteously.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper merchandise presentation.
- Assist customers at the register, answer questions, and provide prompt assistance.
- Follow all safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and support store security initiatives.
- Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing high‑touch areas.
- Control daily inventory processes such as sizing, recovery, and receipt of new merchandise.
- Adhere to all cash handling policies and maintain accuracy with bankable tenders.
- Participate in loss prevention activities, including the Shortage Highway and Store Protection Specialist protocols.
- Represent the Ross brand consistently and professionally at all times.
- Demonstrate integrity, safeguard confidential information, and uphold company policies.

- Basic mathematical calculation skills commonly used in retail environments.
- Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the store up to 100% of working time.
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
- Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 20 pounds.
