OverviewServes as a representative overseeing the inventory of poultry on assigned routes, maintaining communication flows between the company, contract producers, and customers.
Principal andEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work directly with assigned contract producers to improve profitability and competitive position by implementing production programs and documenting producer compliance at each farm visit.
- Maintain route square footage to meet sales demands and ensure compliance with poultry welfare, food safety, and environmental Best Management Practices.
- Monitor chick placements, bird weights, flock movements, mortality and feed inventories.
- Assess bird health, administer field vaccinations, prescribe treatments, and perform testing to identify disease; relay findings to management.
- Support other departments by maintaining open communication between all parties and ensuring compliance with company bio‑security, food safety, and poultry welfare policies.
- Operate company vehicles safely, complying with all company policies and state/federal requirements.
- As Housing Manager, work with prospects and existing growers to add required square footage, manage service costs, coordinate construction and expansion projects, and develop vendor relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or Agribusiness Management.
Experience Requirements3–5 years of relevant experience; valid driver’s license with no points; strong customer service, reading, math, writing, communication, analytical and statistical skills.

Environmental Factors andPhysical Requirements
- Must be physically capable of working in hatcheries, feed mills, chicken houses, processing plants, and other locations.
- Exposure to seasonal weather, dust, feathers, wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging 28–100 °F, humidity 100 %, noise 50–110 dB, chemicals used in poultry processing.
- Must wear protective and safety equipment as directed by the Company.
- Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors.
- Required to perform moderate physical exertion, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs and climbing to a height of 30 ft.
