Overview

Job Summary
Fabrication Pipefitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems with precision. Duties include assisting mechanics, handling tools and materials, reading layouts, and ensuring clean, organized work spaces. Requires 2–3 years of experience, strong technical and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Work involves physical activity and occasional exposure to mechanical parts and outdoor conditions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and safety standards
  • Prepare routine reports and documentation as needed
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients
  • Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout
  • Places and moves equipment and materials
  • Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required)
  • Transports and furnishes mechanics with materials, tools, and supplies
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely
  • Performs other routine duties
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules
  • Ability to inspect tools
  • Ability to anticipate what mechanic needs next
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to teams or clients
  • Skilled in fitting, soldering, and laying out piping systems
  • Experienced with both electrical and manual tools
  • Committed to safe work practices and proper use of safety equipment
  • Team-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision
