Job Summary:
Our Mechanical Technicians work to provide a clean, healthy, safe, and well-maintained environment for conference center guests through preventative maintenance and repair of boilers, hot water systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems. Technicians are cross trained; however, not all skills require experience. This role supports Ridgecrest’s mission of impacting lives for God’s glory through purposeful hospitality.

Primary Experience Needed For This Role: HVAC
Schedule: Night and weekend shift on a scheduled rotation (generally once every 6 to 8 weeks). In addition, in the event of an emergency, a call back may be required.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Technical training or coursework in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical systems, energy management, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Two or more years of experience in HVAC, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, facilities, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to independently perform routine maintenance and repairs. Hospitality, conference center, commercial, or similar facility experience preferred.
Knowledge &
Skills:
Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, energy management, electrical and electronic systems, and applicable building, electrical, fire, and local codes. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints; use diagnostic tools; troubleshoot equipment; organize multiple projects; and communicate effectively.
Abilities:
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine and moderately complex issues; prioritize competing demands; provide guidance to less-experienced team members; make sound decisions; adapt to unexpected challenges; demonstrate integrity and a strong work ethic; and understand how maintenance work impacts the guest experience.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- EPA certification to reclaim and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants, or obtain certification within 12 months of entering the position.
