Industrial Maintenance Technician

$30 - $35 per hour | Rutherfordton, NC | On-site | Permanent

A textile manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems. This role is a good fit for someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys solving problems and keeping equipment running reliably.

• Put your troubleshooting skills to work across a variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Take an active role in improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams in a hands-on environment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and repairs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate with production to restore operation.
• Document repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and maintain an organized work area.

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with motors, bearings, belts, pumps, and power transmission components.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and variable frequency drives preferred.
• Textile manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Welding and fabrication experience is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the team.
