The Sheet Metal Worker is a full-time, on-site position based in Cashiers, NC. In this role, the team member fabricates, installs, and repairs sheet metal roofing components, including flashing, gutters, and custom trim. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting metal to specifications, using hand tools and equipment, forming and joining materials, and ensuring accurate alignment and secure installation. The Sheet Metal Worker collaborates with roofing crews, follows safety protocols, maintains tools and work areas, and inspects completed work for quality and durability.

This role may also involve assisting with material handling, working at heights, and adapting to changing weather conditions while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.

• Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction tools used in roofing and metal fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with metalworking and welding for cutting, forming, and joining metal components.
• Knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods for roofing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, and job specifications, including basic math skills.
• Strong awareness of safety practices, including fall protection and safe operation of equipment.
• Physical capability to lift materials, work at heights, and perform tasks outdoors in varying conditions.
• Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior roofing or construction experience is preferred; experience with specialized sheet metal on structures (including aircraft or architectural metal) is a plus.
