Join our community of food people!basic purpose to provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
** essential duties and responsibilities
*** troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (thermo king & carrier trailer refrigeration systems, reefer microprocessors, etc.).
* perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
* mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
* receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
* utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
* maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
* willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.

** all fleet technicians, drivers, coordinators and manager.

** dealer service managers.
** work environment**
* ** onsite**: the associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a us foods maintenance facility.
** minimum qualifications
*** must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a fleet reefer/refrigeration technician. Tk/carrier refrigeration certifications.
* must be willing to travel and attend training provided by us foods.
* diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
* successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* must furnish own personal hand tools.
* ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
** education
* ** high school diploma or equivalent required.
** certifications/training
*** epa 608 (type 2 or universal) & epa 609 certifications
** licenses
* ** must possess a valid driver’s license.
** preferred qualifications
*** ability to comply with epa and osha & dot regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
* computer and software experience/ noregon diag equip/a/c recovery, etc.
* able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
* welding ability
* valid class a cdl license and dot certification
