The Inventory Control Lead supports accurate inventory management and smooth warehouse operations by coordinating daily cycle counts, audits, variance research, and related documentation. This role leads start-up meetings, communicates priorities, and assists team members in resolving operational issues throughout the shift. The Lead monitors inventory KPIs, prepares essential reports, and supports the Inventory Control Supervisor to drive process improvements. In addition, this position upholds safety standards, models professional conduct, and helps maintain an organized, efficient work environment.

• Executes standard warehouse and inventory tasks, and trains team members to deliver world-class accuracy and operational performance.
• Communicates with the inventory control team regarding prioritization of tasks and schedules.
• Leads daily start-up meetings, clearly communicating priorities, assigning tasks, and providing updates throughout the day.
• Monitors the cycle counting and auditing schedule and adjusts as necessary to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Performs root-cause analysis and reports error trends. Research inventory variances in an unresolved status and reconciles physical and systemic mismatches.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances by performing root-cause analysis, reporting error trends, and reconciling physical and system mismatches.
• Performs periodic audits to ensure team adherence to standard processes.
• Monitors and reports on Inventory Control KPIs and drives process improvements to improve inventory health.
• Maintains effective, professional communication and conduct; serves as a role model for team members.
• Safely operates powered industrial equipment to accurately count physical inventory and materials across all warehouse storage locations.
• Fosters a strong safety culture and leads the team to maintain a neat, organized work environment.
