1st Shift: Monday - Friday, general business hours, Full-Time | No Supervisory Responsibilities | No Travel | Pay commensurate with experience

Job Summary

Responsible for distribution of stock to sub-stock areas and determining par level for stock. Responsible for processing of patient charges to include lost charges. Responsible to maintain General Stores (GS) and all sub stock areas in a clean and orderly manner. Responsible for receiving.

Essential Functions
  • Properly distributes all materials to designated locations in General Stores (GS).
  • Properly distributes all materials to designated locations in all sub stock areas.
  • Assures stock is being rotated and dated items checked for out of dates as scheduled.
  • Interfaces with Department Leader at the user departments to determine need of additions or deletions in relation to par level system.
  • Makes corrections, deletions and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the PAR level replenishment systems throughout the facilities sub stock areas. 95% of the time.
  • Schedules replenish delivery assignments for various sub stock areas to ensure that the proper quantity of materials is delivered at the proper time, 95% of the time.
  • Forwards information pertaining to critical back-order situations to the Inventory Control Clerk, Purchasing Agent, or Materials Manager.
  • Processes department returns from department to GS within shift returned to GS.
  • Maintains all equipment utilized in transporting materials in a manner that ensures reliable and safe operation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the overall scope of the Materials Management functions.
  • Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.
  • Processes patient chargeable items in accordance with Hospital Policy including designated time schedule of department 98% of the time.
  • Completes duties in a time efficient manner 95% of the time.
  • Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
  • Assist Inventory Control Clerk in instances where quantity discrepancies exist between stock quantities/computer and manual inventory counts.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Facility Disaster, Safety, Infection Control and Haz-Com policies.
  • Demonstrates ability to supervise self in absence of Material Manager, using chain of command when necessary.
  • Demonstrates knowledge to follow Department policy and procedure during downtime of computerized system.
  • Helps to complete tasks in the materials function that are not within job description as assigned by Material Manager. Renders self-available when responsibilities have been met to assist in areas that may require assistance within the materials function.
  • Adheres to the HIPPA and privacy policies and procedures. Reports any violation or appearance of violation of the policies and procedures and/or laws and regulations addressed in the Compliance Plan and the hospital Code of Conduct to the Compliance Officer, a member of Senior Leadership, or to the Department Leader.

Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.).
