We’re seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Charleston. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, lead tax engagements, mentor staff, and help shape the future of our firm. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, technically proficient, and passionate about delivering high‑quality service.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including multi‑state and pass‑through entity returns
- Provide proactive tax planning and prepare projections for clients
- Respond to federal and state tax notices
- Support the training and development of staff; serve as a mentor and resource
- Create a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Research complex tax and business issues and present clear findings
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
- Participate in business development and networking initiatives
- Assist firm partners with administrative and leadership responsibilities
- Continuously grow technical knowledge and contribute to the firm's overall success
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
- CPA license (required)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
- Strong leadership, communication, and client service skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Commitment to teamwork, growth, and delivering top‑tier client service
