Psychiatrist – Outpatient with Limited Inpatient Coverage

Location: Charleston, SC
Schedule: Primarily Outpatient, with minimum 1 weekend/month of Inpatient Coverage

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Charleston-based behavioral health team. This role primarily focuses on outpatient psychiatric care
, with the flexibility and balance of limited inpatient coverage (minimum one weekend per month). The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patient outcomes, values collaborative teamwork, and is comfortable working in both structured and autonomous environments.

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for outpatient clients.
• Participate in a shared call schedule, providing inpatient coverage one weekend per month.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nurse practitioners, and case managers.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory standards.

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active or eligible South Carolina medical license.
• Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
