Senior Loan Officer

Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing residential mortgage loan applicants.
• Requesting specified information for loan applications.

• Corresponding with customers, applicants, or creditors to resolve application questions.
• Recommending and outlining loan terms.
• Informing prospective borrowers of loan commitments.
• Reviewing laws and regulations related to installment loan security agreements.
• Assisting collection officers with delinquent account files.
• Ensuring quality loan growth.

  Mortgage Originator cannot, directly or indirectly, commit First Federal on lending decisions.
• Providing excellent customer service with innovative solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Interview mortgage applicants.
• Gather necessary information for loan processing.
• Communicate loan decisions.
• Resolve application questions with stakeholders.
• Outline loan terms and inform about commitments.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Support collection efforts for delinquent accounts.
• Contribute to loan growth objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree preferred.
• At least 6 years of mortgage loan origination experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and services.
• Excellent cross-selling, organizational, and communication skills.
• Effective communication with borrowers, builders, and realtors.
• Ability to handle time constraints and attention to detail.
• Extended hours for computer tasks may be required.
