Purchaser​/Procurements Specialist

description:

• managing, tracking and executing various types of contract vehicles for navy c4isr programs

• high school ged and minimum of seven years cumulative experience

• specific experience must include:

• two (2) years of navy integrated logistics support experience

• two (2) years of life cycle support of a shipboard system

• two (2) years of dod/navy purchasing/procurement

desired skills:

• demonstrated proficiency in executing the following type of contract actions: p-card (purchase card), mac (multiple award contract), sewp (solution enterprise wide procurement), sap (simplified acquisition procedures) dla (defense logistics agency), milstrip (military standard requisitioning and issue procedures), and gsa (general services administration) contract vehicles
• ability to work with government contracting specialists and government ipt leads to finalize, review and accept best price quotes/proposals from vendors in order to receive purchase orders
• familiarity in review and editing modifications to existing contracts and purchase orders (i.e. Milstrip and government purchase card orders) to include preparing rfp (request for proposals) and related solicitation documents
• ability to use productivity tools to track and receive material contracts
• must be able to obtain a dod secret security clearance
• completed dau training related (defense acquisition university): acquisition and logistics training
• ils demand planning experience
• experience with purchasing for navy c4isr submarine systems
• comprehensive knowledge of fiar (financial improvements and audit readiness) procurement policies and procedures
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• strong working knowledge of navy erp application

clearance information:src is a contractor for the u.s. Government, this position will require u.s. Citizenship as well as, a u.s. Government security clearance at the secret level travel requirements:
