IV Technician (North Charleston, SC)

This position offers you the ability to spend more time with patients and treat them with dignity, not just another stick or another number. You will interact with 5-20 patients a day on average.

An established (45+ years) and growing medical center is seeking an IV Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience. Qualified applicants should be able to work in a precise manner, multi-task, work well under pressure, be organized and detail‑oriented, outgoing, and most importantly have excellent customer service skills. Computer skills are also a must. Your comfort and ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer knowledge will be tested.

• Mix and administer several different I.V. treatments for patients (training included) under supervision of an M.D.
• Answer any questions a patient may ask about lab test kits and labs.
• Administer oxygen/oxygen multi‑step therapy for patients.
• Take patients' pulses, blood pressure readings, weight, and temperature.
• Assist in the front office with patient calls and assist in appointments with scribing.
