Overview

Overview: CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a talented Qlik Sense Dashboard Developer to join our team. This role is based in Charleston, SC but can be remote. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful dashboards using Qlik Sense to empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You’ll work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to transform complex data into visually appealing, user-friendly solutions.

Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge Dev Sec Ops , automated testing, and mobile application development.

• Design, develop, and deploy Qlik Sense dashboards and visualizations that meet business requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Qlik Sense using Qlik scripting.
• Create data models and optimize associative data engines for efficient performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable dashboard features.
• Implement advanced analytics, including calculated measures, set analysis, and dynamic reporting.
• Ensure dashboards are intuitive, responsive, and optimized for both desktop and mobile users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, dashboard performance, and user experience.
• Provide documentation and training to end-users to maximize dashboard adoption and usability.
• Stay current with Qlik Sense updates, features, and best practices to enhance development processes.

Required Experience and

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Qlik Sense certification (e.g., Qlik Sense Business Analyst, Qlik Sense Data Architect) is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Certified Scrum Developer certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong proficiency with Qlik Sense, including dashboard design, data modeling, and scripting.
• Experience with Qlik Sense Enterprise or Qlik Cloud for deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices (e.g., chart selection, color theory).
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data from relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools to integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., Excel, APIs, data warehouses).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for custom extensions is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with Qlik Sense is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Experience and

Education:

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or dashboard development, with a focus on Qlik Sense.
• Proven ability to deliver visually compelling and functional dashboards in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and business teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and integration.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to improve API development processes.
• Advana experience preferred, but not required.
