The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL) operating systems, and be capable of deploying and maintaining Esri’s enterprise GIS stack in on-premise, cloud (e.g., AWS), and DDIL (Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, Limited) environments. This role requires expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise (10.9.1+) and familiarity with Esri apps such as ArcGIS Dashboards and Experience Builder.

Experience working in secure and tactically constrained networks is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Design, deploy, and manage ArcGIS Enterprise in Linux environments across on-premises and virtual platforms.
* Configure, maintain and troubleshoot federated ArcGIS Enterprise systems in DDIL environments, including support for replication, synchronization, and bandwidth-limited operations.
* Develop geospatial automation tools and workflows using Python, including the ArcGIS API for Python, geoprocessing scripts, and other Python libraries as necessary.
* Implement and maintain secure, multi-enclave environments and cross-domain GIS data flow.
* Assist with creating interactive spatial products using ArcGIS Enterprise applications such as ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, and Story Maps.
* Collaborate with sysadmins, developers, and mission analysts to integrate GIS services with other enterprise applications and interfaces.
* Author detailed technical documentation, configuration baselines, and SOPs in compliance with DoD and NIST guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

* U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing ArcGIS Enterprise (10.9.1 or newer).
* Bachelors and 8-12 years of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated experience with Linux (RHEL preferred) system administration in support of GIS infrastructure including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Experience deploying ArcGIS Enterprise solutions in virtual environments.
* Deep understanding of federated server configurations and enclave-separated GIS systems.
* Python scripting skills, especially with the ArcGIS API for Python.
* Experience working in DDIL or disconnected tactical environments, (e.g., offline data, map caches).
* Familiarity with secure DoD infrastructure and cross-domain deployment patterns.
* Minimum of IAT II Certifications to meet DoD 8140 compliance:
CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) and training or vendor certifications in Windows, Linux, VMWare, Cisco (CCNP/CCNA).
* GISP (Certified GIS Professional) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Understanding of Postgre

SQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, and other enterprise database platform integration.
* Experience developing with ArcGIS Enterprise application capabilities (ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Story Maps) to add mission-focused value.
* Experience configuring tools for monitoring system performance and availability.
* Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  practices, including containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
* Familiarity with network concepts and topics, such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing.
* Familiarity with authentication concepts and topics (e.g., SAML).
* Experience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3+, with emphasis on modern Esri capabilities, updated security models, and cloud/hybrid deployments. At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.” If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good.
